Interview Tips.

By Rachel Antony

It's always a good idea to be prepared.

  • Learn the Company.

Know what they do, why they do it, and why you want to be a part of it. And know it genuinely, lying will not help you here.

  • Know Your Resume.

It can be hard to keep all of the internships and extracurriculars straight. You should know how each position has given you the experience you need to be the best for the new position.

  • Dress Smart.

Dress appropriately: be professional, yes but don't try too hard. Not only will you look like you're trying to hard, but you will be uncomfortable and focused more on that then what you need to say.

  • Keep it Real.

Don't underestimate yourself, but don't over estimate yourself either. Yes, you can talk about what you've achieved and what you know but don't exaggerate to the point where you can't deliver.

  • Say it Once, Make it Count.

Say what you need to say and know that you've done what you can but don't follow up the next day. No one likes a nagger, it won't help you get the job; either they remembered you or they didn't.

  • On to the Next.

If you don't get the job move on to the next. You could ask them why you didn't fit the role and improve yourself before the next interview. It is productive and will benefit you in the next rounds.
