Easy Wafer Paper Flowers

  Step 1

  Cut a 1.5 inch circle from gum paste and allow to dry.

  Step 2

  Cut circles from wafer paper - 3 small, 7 medium, 9 large

• 

  Step 3

  Cut a slit almost halfway to the centre of the circle, add a dab of piping gel and overlap the slit to cup the petal.

• 

  Step 4

  Coat the gum paste base with piping gel and add the first petal.

• 

  Step 5

  Overlap each petal on one side and complete the first row.

• 

  Step 6

  Continue to add the rows in the manner as the previous slide, moving to the smaller petals as you move to the center.

• 

  Step 7

  Add the last three small petals to the center to complete the flower.

• 

  Step 8

  Add a little piping gel to the center of the flower and fill with gold dragees. Allow to set for a few minutes.

  Step 9

  And VOILA!
