World's Longest Beaches

By Scuba Diver Life

Whether you want to shore dive or just relax apres dive, these six gorgeous coasts will give you more beach than any others in the world.

  • Praia do Cassino Beach, Brazil

From Rio Grande do Sul to the Uruguay border, this gorgeous white sand beach stretches 130 - 160 miles (measurements vary). What is certain, however, is that it's the longest, uninterrupted sandy beach in the world.

  • Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh

Holding the title of the longest ‘natural sand’ beach, this one is also in the 150 mile range.  Nicknamed Panowa, meaning little flower, it's one of the popular tourist attractions in Bangladesh.

  • Padre Island National Seashore, Texas

Sand dunes, turtles, year-round warm waters, and permission to drive on it makes this beach one of the more popular in the state. Just make sure you pick the right side of this 130 mile long beach - one side is for partying, and one is more pristine and preserved.

  • Ninety Mile Beach, Australia

Many places in Australia are picturesque, but if you're looking for great beach pictures then this is where you'll want to head.  As the name suggests, it has 90 miles of gorgeous sand, great fishing, and high chances of seeing dolphins and whales.  Not the most ideal for swimming or surfing, though.

  • Playa Novillero, Mexico

This 56 mile long beach has two unique features.  It has an extended shallow area, so you can walk out into the water over 300 before it drops off.  And, it has unique and interesting wave patterns that draw people around the world to study them.

  • Ninety Mile Beach, New Zealand

While not quite 90 miles long, this gorgeous beach is well known for its jaw-dropping sunsets.  Plenty of activities too: an annual fishing competition, 4-wheel driving, and sand dunes. Not to mention, the wrecks of Shipwreck Bay are visible at low tide.
