The Best Holiday Movies and Why We Love Them

By BrazenWoman

Here are the Christmas Flicks we keep watching over and over and over again. And for good reason, we might add.

  • When Harry Met Sally

Besides finding out the age old question: Can best friends become lovers?, this movie gives us so many high points. Especially the orgasm. In the deli. (PS. Want what she's having? Best orgasm right here -> http://brazenwoman.com/5-truths-lead-mind-blowing-orgasms/)

  • It's a Wonderful Life

Why do we love it? Well, that's easy. Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings. Altogether now: Awwwwww...

  • Bridget Jones's Diary

Seriously, all we want for Christmas is Hugh Grant and Colin Firth, and not necessarily in that order. Who's with us?

  • The Holiday

For every sucker who believes in fairytales, this one's for you. Imagine switching homes with another woman just to find you fall in love. Sigh.

  • Love Actually

So many wonderful stories that show love comes in many forms. We just can't get enough of this fillm. And PS. Best.Cast.Ever.

  • The Family Man

This is for everyone who's ever wondered What If? And oh, um, sex on the stairs, anyone?

  • The Family Stone

The family tension is so real and so is the chaos of the holidays. We can relate and even laugh at ourselves. Well, no one said fun or family was easy.

  • Moonstruck

You'll love watching Cher squirm as she plays Loretta Castorini, a bookkeeper from Brooklyn who falls hard for the brother of her fiance. Oops.

  • Happy Christmas

Anna Kendrick and Lena Dunham star and that's more than enough for us. Plus, fun fabulous fact: The dialogue was improvised. So yeah, see it.

  • You've Got Mail

Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks are both so darn cute. Most of all, this film shows us just how far we've come technologically. Like wow.

  • National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

It's hilarious. No matter how badly the holidays go, the Griswolds are having a worse time of it than you are.

  • A Christmas Story

This one is a pick-me-classic at a time of year we may need it. It's always great for a laugh no matter what age you are.

  • Edward Scissorhands

The whole movie is based on why it snows at Christmas, and the story hooks you right away. But really, Tim Burton, Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp are reason enough to watch it.

  • White Christmas

Sometimes all we want is sweet, sappy and sentimental. So we can feel good. Really good.

  • The Ref

This quote: You know what I'm going to get you next Christmas, Mom? A big wooden cross, so that every time you feel unappreciated for your sacrifices, you can climb on up and nail yourself to it. Charming, huh?

  • Bad Santa

Because sometimes Christmas just isn't pretty and it doesn't have to be to be valuable.

  • Holiday Inn

Gotta love them old time musicals. Seriously, with the combined forces of  Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, and Irving Berlin, who can resist the seasonal classic that introduced White Christmas to the world?

  • Scrooged

Because we could all use a good hard kick in the pants at holiday time to keep us focused on what's important. Oh, and Bill Murray.

  • Die Hard

Since the terrorist activity happens during a Christmas party, we're allowed to add this action classic to our list. And Bruce in an undershirt. That's why.
